IME sets up welfare fund

IME, a pioneer in remittance which has been promoting banking transaction by channeling the remittance transaction through banking system since 11 years has established a fund of Rs. 2 million (probably the largest fund ever from private sector for the welfare of migrant workers) targeting to support the injured and the families of deceased customers working in Malaysia and Gulf. IME Executive Chairman, Mr. Chandra Prasad Dhakal revealed amid a recently organized press conference that the institution had established the fund to help the injured migrant customers in various accidents during their work and also support the families of the deceased customers working in Malaysia and Gulf Countries. The company, always ahead in its social responsibilities has committed to continue its social welfare programmes for the Nepali aspirants in other parts of the world, said Dhakal.

The company has been providing safe and reliable service in sending money within minutes around the world along with contributing in social and human assistance programmes, said Dhakal. IME has been operating the service from US, Europe, Australia, Japan, and Malaysia, Gulf and it is also planning to extend its service from other countries as well. One can collect the amount sent through IME from all the 75 districts of the country from more than 1,600 agent networks spread across the country.
