IME Malaysia signs agreement with Embassy of Nepal in Malaysia to assist migrant workers

The Embassy of Nepal in Kuala Lumpur and IME Malaysia have agreed to cooperate with each other in providing financial resources to the Nepalese undocumented workers to return home. As per the agreement, IME Malaysia willbe providing financial assistance worth Rs. 9, 00,000as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility, which will be used for one way airfare for 50 Nepalese nationals who have been placed in detention camps throughout Malaysia and have obtained their travel documents from the Embassy of Nepal but do not have any means of purchasing their air tickets to return to Nepal. The assistance will be provided to the Nepalese as per the list provided by the Embassy of Nepal. The agreement was signed by Dr. Niranjan Man Singh Basnyat – Nepalese Ambassador to Malaysia and Mr. Hem Raj Dhakal – Managing Director of IME Malaysia.
