IME Haasya Yatra Ends with GustoOctober 17, 2012
IME's direct marketing campaign "IME Haasya Yatra…Byroad ko Batoma" organized in association with Global IME Bank in promotion of Indo-Nepal remittance service has ended with much fanfare and gusto with its final show in Damauli, Kaski. IME's 20-day long road trip to Western Nepal headlined by IME brand ambassadors Deepak Raj Giri & Deepa Shree Niraula along with various other artistes had embarked its journey since September 26 with its first show at Lions Chowk, Narayanghat. The road show crew then went on to entertain and educate Butwal, Liwang, Pyuthan, Salyan, Tulsipur, Surkhet, Nepalgunj, Dhangadi, Dadeldhura, Baitadi, Mangalsen, Sandikharka, Tamghas, Tansen, Syanja, Baglung and finally in Damauli on October 15th.
Local audiences who came in massive numbers in each event location welcomed IME road show team along with Deepak Raj Giri & Deepa Shree Niraula wholeheartedly cheering each of the performances. "The response from the audiences in each location was simply overwhelming", claimed Deepak Raj Giri speaking to the media after the finale.
It has been estimated that about 170,000 people who watched the road show directly have been benefitted from this entertainment cum awareness program. At each location, musical performances would be followed by information sharing and awareness programs about the safer, swifter and most reliable way of remitting money from India to Nepal through formal banking channel set up by IME and Global IME Bank in partnership with India's United Bank of India. Similarly Q&A session with audiences also made sure they would get special gift items from IME. Finally, the program would end with stand-up comedy from famous comedy duo Deepak Raj Giri and Deepa Shree Niraula amid thunderous applause from the audiences.
The company expects positive effect on the awareness levels of general public about IME's Indo – Nepal remittance service after the culmination of this successful promotional event.
