IME, Global IME Bank hand over fund to PMs relief fund

IME and Global IME Bank have handed over relief fund of Rs. 1,000,001/- (Rs One Million and One) to PM’s Disaster Rescue Fund for the relief of Darchhula flood victims. Chairman of Global IME Bank and Executive Chairman of IME Mr. Chandra Prasad Dhakal and CEO of Global IME Bank Mr. Ratna Raj Bajracharya jointly handed over the cheque to Chairman of the Interim Election Council Khil Raj Regmi amid a function at the Office of the Prime Minister, Singha Durbar, Kathmandu.

IME had set up a relief fund for the Darchhula flood victims with initial contribution in association with Global IME Bank, of over Rs. 700,000/- collected from its staff and board members and made an appeal to IME Group companies, its employees, agents and other stakeholders to make contributions.

Speaking at the function, Chairman of the Interim Election Council Khil Raj Regmi thanked IME and Global IME Bank for taking the initiative to provide assistance to the families displaced by natural calamities. He also stated that benevolent acts like this from the private sector are very much essential during tough times of natural disaster and calamities in the country.

The function was also attended by Executive Director of IME Mr. Hem Raj Dhakal, CEO of IME Mr. Suman Pokharel, Head – Marketing & BD Mr. Daniel D Shrestha among others.
